TIMES stands for „Tournament In Management and Engineering Skills“ and is one of the flagship projects of ESTIEM. The Europe-wide case study competition has been successfully carried out for over 15 years at the universities connected to ESTIEM.

About 250 teams compete against each other every year, using their interdisciplinary skills in management and engineering in case studies which are close to reality. The case study competition uses Harvard-type cases, which means the teams have 3-4 hours to prepare a presentation and then present it in front of a jury.

The tournament is held completely in English and is organised at three levels. After a Local Qualification at the home university, the winning team takes part in one of the 6 Semi Finals. In the Final they compete for the title „IEM Students of the Year“. The Final 2012 will take place in Stockholm, Sweden.
